I owned Magellan's compliance training program for more than 5,000 employees. It passed every regulatory and internal audit for six years straight, including the due diligence for Centene's $2.2B acquisition, and I cut one-on-one compliance support by more than 80% along the way.

Magellan is a federal contractor in health care, so its compliance training had to stand up as proof. Every course had to hold up to regulators and internal audit, and when Centene bought the company for $2.2B, that readiness became part of the due diligence.
But the curriculum was click-next PowerPoint: Code of Conduct, Fraud, Waste & Abuse, Government Contracts, HIPAA Privacy, and cybersecurity. People clicked through without paying attention, and there was no solid way to show the content had stuck. That's a legal risk, not just a learning gap.
I pushed to move from static slides to scenario-based learning, and I made the case to Legal and Compliance leadership to fund it. I set the standard every course would be built to, tackled the highest-risk topics first, and defined what "done" meant in audit terms. Finishing a course wasn't the bar. Proving people understood it was.
I worked with SMEs, policy writers, and attorneys to map where real errors and audit findings actually happened, then wrote the objectives around those moments instead of the regulation index.
I built a scenario-based model from real case files, with consequences that match the field, and set the rules that kept every course consistent and audit-ready as the program grew.
I ran development across the authoring tools, piloted with SMEs to tune the difficulty and clear up anything confusing, and managed the annual rollout to 5,000 people.
I led the move to interactive, scenario-based learning across the whole compliance curriculum: branching decisions, animated video, knowledge checks, and narration. It turned dense regulatory language into choices people could actually make on the job. Every course met the same standard, so the program stayed consistent and easy to audit as it grew.
Owning the program meant running its day-to-day, not just its content. I kept the annual cycle on track and made sure the 80% support drop actually held.
LMS administration
I ran the compliance curriculum in the LMS for 5,000 people: assignments, completion tracking, and the audit-ready reporting Compliance and the auditors leaned on.
Support & ticket queue
I owned the support queue, sorted and resolved employee and manager tickets, then fed the recurring problems back into the courses and resources so they stopped coming up.
SharePoint resource hub
I built a SharePoint hub where people could look up policies, job aids, and course guidance on their own. That self-serve layer took the biggest bite out of one-on-one support.
I kept Legal, Compliance, HR, and IT agreed on scope and sign-off, and I got the executive backing to fund the redesign. I showed auditors a clear path from each regulatory requirement to the course that covered it, and Compliance leadership signed off on every course before it went live.
I agreed the success metrics with leadership before we built anything: audit outcomes and lower risk first, then engagement and whether people could apply what they learned. I tracked completion and knowledge-check scores, watched compliance error rates quarter to quarter, and reported the results up to Compliance and executive leadership.

This wasn't a one-time launch. The standard, the scenario library, and the review cadence I set up kept every course audit-ready year after year, through leadership changes and a major acquisition, without rebuilding the program from scratch each cycle.
